Question Ball Joint Leak / Torn CV boot

I just recently lowered my 04 TL with Tein SS coilovers. Just reading on a few threads, and how some members have had either there boot torn or ball joints leaking. Is this common when u drop the ride. Im currelnlty 1.75" all around. This is my first lowered car as well so a little confused. can somoene shed some light on this.....thanks

interesting. i don't really have an answer but some advice.
in my accord (95 exr) my ball joint broke as i was driving. it is a very dangerous thing to happen and i was lucky i was only goin 40km/h. as the tire goes sideways and you grind to a halt you'll be thinkin, i should have had it checked or so thats what the squeaking noise was when i turn.

Anyways its worth the 50 bucks or whatever just to have someone look at it so you know for sure. if you hear a squeaking/grinding noise whenever you turn the wheel its a good chance you ball joint is gonna go. dont make the same mistake i did. ( a few years ago, in case your wondering)

My boot is torn, and my car has been dropped for about 2 years.

It's pretty common among all Honda/Acura's apparently, where the boot first rips, and then you start getting dirt into your grease. Check your CV boots to see if there is grease coming out.
