Ball Joint and LCA Bushing

Hey guys I'm trying to change a few things on my 05 TL and have some questions.

First- I need to change both lower ball joints. Looks like there is a disc on the back of the knuckle that would be in the way of pressing the old ball joint out and the new one in. Has anyone done this before?

Second- Anyone changes the LCA bushings that the strut fork bolts to? I'm just wondering if there where any special tool anyone used or if there is a trick to it.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

When I replaced my LCA bushing I removed both LCA from the car. I took the arms and new bushings to a machine shop to press the old ones out and new ones in.

Ok that works. But did has anyone changed the ball joints. There is a knuckle ring in the way. Do I even need the knuckle ring. I could notch it out so the ball joint will clear. Anyone have any ideas on that.
