Baffling mystery...2008 type-s

when i hit the brakes, i hear a grinding, growling sound, checked the pads, all look good, had a mechanic check the pads and he said they look good, the front has aftermarket drilled rotors, i cant tell if the sound is coming from the front or back, any thoughts? it seems to only happen over 40 mph but that might be because it would be more notocable.

Replace with what ever fits your budget and specific needs. There are many brands and options available.

I wish I could get a link to some rotors [ not into racing, more into safety] or other advice, it sounds like metal on metal when i am braking.

go to your nearest AutoZone and pick up a set of the Gold /Max line and be done with it.

Find a different mechanic.

LINK
There are many many many options. Go look at your local auto parts stores, Rock Auto, the various Acura dealers online and local. Just make sure they give you the correct size. The Brembo equipped cars are different than the base models.

Oddly enough, last time I checked, Brembo did NOT make a rotor for our cars with Brembo calipers. Go figure. I just went with some high-end Centric rotors and they are perfect.
