Bad amp?

To be clear, I searched and searched on here and Google, but could not come up with a definitive answer.

I just picked up a 04 TL about a week ago. I'm having problems with the sound quality of my audio system. Only my front right speaker seems to play the loudest. The other speakers have sound coming through them, but are very low. Is that the sign of a bad amp or could it be something else? All of my settings for the system are centered.

Not sure if this might apply or work for you, but there is a relatively cheap fix. My right channel was really low. Basically I replaced all the capacitors on the amplifier PCB with new Nichicon Audio grade capacitors.

HOW TO: OEM Audio Amp Repair - fix buzzing/noise/no volume!

Agree with ifeliciano

Follow the instructions in the thread. I went the route to replace all the capacitors less than 1 mf with 1mf and all the ones less than 10 with 10's. Sounds a lot better.

I know you said you searched on Google but next time, add "site:acurazine.com" to your search and it will limit your searches to just AZ. It helps narrow down the search a lot and you typically get the results you're looking for.
