Backdoor Handle Cap

I'm sure it has a fancy name or something but IDK what it is. The cap piece that i on the rear door handles has "fallen off" again. My late husband replaced the last one on the driver side, not the passenger isde one is gone. I recall him having to take the door apart to install. What a pain in the ass!

Most of us call it the door handle cap.

Each cap is specific to position and color-coded, but less than $20 from most dealers

Installation instructions are at posts 16, 18 and 43 of: https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-problems-fixes-114/rear-door-handle-cover-part-fell-off-w-pics-please-assist-777860/

Those apply if the metal base for the cap is not a problem; a few TLs had defective cap bases which had to be changed, which is a pain to do and subject of the TSB mentioned in that thread.

Those plastic caps seem to break after about 6 years or so; each of mine has been replaced.

Door handle cap. Makes sense now! I can't tell you what or how the other one was replaced just remember going through this before. I think my '06 has heard me speak of getting a 2013 and is lashing out... lol All these little things are starting to wear on me!
