Back-of-the-seat covers & door inset.

Curious if anyone has some possible solutions on fixing the back seat covers or the leather inset on the doors? The cover on my passenger seat has come off from the bottom and can be lifted up a bit. The inset is on my driver's side rear door & comes out. I can push it back in, but it finds its way out eventually.

Would like to know of any quick fixes for these. If not, hopefully the dealer will fix them for under $100.

Depends. The seat covers are held on by hog rings. Take the seat out and see if one of the hogs rings came off. As for the leather insert is it one piece? Do you have any pics? The dealer will probably charge more then $100 and probably have a vendor do the work for them. I would take it and see if they will warranty it first. I had my drivers side seat back and rear seat bench covered, but this was when the car was 1 year old and only around had 9k. I recovered seats myself and it is pretty simple if you have the right tools.

Here is the fix for the front seat back cover

http://www.in.honda.com/Rjanisis/pubs/SB/b08-008.pdf

You will need P/N 81128-SEP-A01ZA . I think the part is about $140 and you'll need to go to the parts counter at the dealer to get it or order over the phone, I couldn't find it on any of the online parts sites. The seat back cover comes off faily easly. There is a plastic clip on the other side holding it in place. Just pull that loose then lift up and the cover slides off. See if the clips on the back side of the seat cover is broken first or print out the TSB take it to the dealer, they may give you the part for free.

As for the insert is it just the leather peeling up? or is it wrapped around a plastic piece and the whole thing is coming off?

The whole thing is coming off. If I give it a little tug, I could probably fit my hand behind it.

I know this will sound ghetto but I would glue it back with goop or loctite epoxy. I would take the piece off, tape off the surrounding panel and the leather portion of the insert with painters tape and use the epoxy. I would go crazy with the epoxy, just enough so it does seep out of the edges when pressed back on.

Glad to see someone else was thinking the same, then. Guess I'll try it.
