Back Panel for seat falling off

Hey guys,

I am new here and this is my first post, but I do have to say this is an awesome site.

I hope you guys can maybe help me out and any suggestions help. I just picked up this 06 TL 6MT and love the thing to death. One thing though is the driver and passenger seats back panel is coming off. I know it is a clip of some sort, but what do you think would be the best way to fix this.

Any suggestions would be very grateful! Thanks!

there are clips that go in the middle of panel on the inside to hold it together. The problem is that the bracket that holds the clips can break and thus you can't put in new clips! However there is a solution! Acura made a repair kit to help fix the seat backs!

TSB 08-008 has the instructions and part numbers for a fix! You can access it through the TSB Page. Be sure to follow the instructions at the top:

Thanks csmeance! I actually was able to find the parts, but damn. $80 a piece! Thats just for the support replacement bracket. Both of my seats are doing that and pretty much going to cost a grip just to fix them and probably could easily break again.

Contemplating on whether to go with the gorilla glue or this route :/

Here is the link if you need it Storm: http://www.oemacuraparts.com/acura/b...sep-998-acura/

I had this issue before the TSB came out. Dealer replaced the clip bosses and then zip-tied the seat back in place. That was 4 years ago .... still good as new.

It's funny I was thinking the same thing a few days ago about my seat but wasn't sure how it would hold up. Goo to see someone else tried it already. Are they still holding up? I live in Florida where it is hot. Don't know if the heat would make it keep falling off.
