Exclamation Back of Driver Seat is broken!

Hey guys.. I have an 04 TL. The back of my driver seat has a hard back cover (where people put like papers in that little flap thing) to it that I believe snaps into the back of the actual seat. Well I think the snaps are broken on the bottom because the top is connected so it makes the bottom just hang off. Can anybody tell me what that back cover thing is called if there is a real name for it and if it can be fixed or if I need to order another piece?

^inspect it.
I believe its held on by glue and not by buttons or fasteners.
if you dont see fasteners or buttons, then its held on by glue!

The bottom is held on by two clips.

These clips tend to break when you remove the back cover. I found it VERY difficult to remove them without breaking them.

It's not normal that it would break on its own.
I just used a zip tie to hold the bottom tight against the seat - looks like nothing happened.

Zip ties are incredible.

Post some picks.
The TL I just purchased has the same problem.
I replaced the clips and it still pops off.
The original owner stated that he had the seat heater replaced and that's when it started .

there are clips that attach to the seat, however the bracket that they are supposed to go onto can break since it's made out of plastic. Acura came out with a repair kit so in the even that plastic breaks you won't have to buy a whole new back cover!

EDIT: see this thread for more info:

That repair kit is very expensive lol

I can't show you pictures because don't really wanna undo the zip tie lol, but if you take off your seat back cover and take a picture, I can tell you where to put the zip ties through.

As I mentioned back then, that TSB applied to me too. You may ask why I even took it apart? To run wires for my headrest monitors. Problem is that I was never able to clip the stupid seatback since. I bought the $4 clips at least 4x and gave up. The clip goes into the hole but doesn't hold the seatback. It's because the clip HOLDER actually broke. The clips are a specific part number, and slightly bigger which is stupid design. You can't use any old clip that looks 99% the same from elsewhere in the car. What also sucks is that it takes quite a bit of pressure to smack it into place and keep it there. That's the whole reason this is a bitch. And they are designed to be a one shot permanent deal. In order to take it off you do have to break it. And that risks breaking your clip holder.

$89 for the repair kit is absolutely crazy haha. No problem if the car was under warranty but I wouldn't pay that. Could probably get a seatback from a junkyard or EBay for less.

I'm going to go the zip tie route. I thought of that, but if the clip is broken, where do I loop it through? I'll try to take another look at it and figure it out. I'm also a zip-tie mechanic, I agree, it fixes everything! lol.
