Axle knocking/clicking on right turns - which one?

So one of my axles is bad, because while turning and accelerating it knocks/clicks when turning right. All the research I've done says that the axle that is bad is on the opposite side of which you are turning. However the noise sounds like its coming from the right side, but my research tells me the bad axle should be the left one. Now my questions is, is it always true that the axle that is bad is on the opposite side of which you are turning? Or how else could I diagnose this to make sure I get the right axle?

Replace both at the same time!

Is that really necessary? if one is still good, I'd rather not spend the extra $ right now... But I suppose I could do that since I'm already in there

The way I see it, if one is failing, the other one will soon follow suit.

Hit the axle nut with an air gun. See if that fixes it. If not replace both sides. Will be better to replace in pairs so they wear together. As ladyboi says the other isn't far behind.

Its not an acura, but its a honda; still follows that same concepts. The real question is are you gonna go w/ reman axles or OEM. Theres plenty of threads on that.

thanks for the link (thanks sent)!
ive read quite a bit and I'm going to go with OEM. My car is a 6SMT and isn't lowered. Seems like OEM is the best option for me.
