Anyone here has repaired their leather seat??

There is a tear/rip on my passenger seat right in the front center area, i requested couple of repair quotes online and everyone told me there will be a scar since its in the perforated area, wonder if anyone here has repaired the rip/tear in the perforated area and had it professional fix by someone but still left with a scar? i really wanna know how bad the scar will look like after the fix..any pix is appreciated

tried the leather repair kit. sucked. There was a weird seam and it ended disintegrating after a short period. Had a interior place replace the all perforated leather with solid black leather

Oooh, yeah, I want to see some pics of that. I'd love to swap out the ugly muddy silver in my Type S seats with a solid eggshell white piece.

go to an upholstery shop and they can replace that section of leather with matching leather (preforated). It shouldn't be as expensive as a new seat bottom from acura but it'll still be more than 50 dollars.

I'm just worried about the match. I need my drivers seat redone and feel like its gonna look much brighter if I only do the seat bottom and neglect the back.

We used these guys on a chair repair and they are also near you...

Ours was good as new and the specific dealer you use will have plenty of before after pics. Pics form other dealers are not most helpful.

two guys quoted me, $125 and $95, but both of them said there will be scar because it's in the preforated area...i guess they only plan to putting some stitches....

You can buy the leather pieces from the dealer. They're not cheap, however...
