I got this very annoying creaking, rattling sound from the sunroof cover, it disappears when i push on it (on the sliding cover).

this was my first rattle in my 04 tl about 3 years ago. i went to pepboys and bought some type of white grease that came in a small silver tube and applied it to the both tracks that the sunroof cover slides on. i opened and closed the sunroof cover about 20 times to even out the grease and it has never rattled since.

apply a little bit at first and see if works. then use more if needed

My sunroof was creaking when it was closed. To fix the problem I wiped down the rubber seal with a wet rag while it was in the tilt and halfway open position. I then applied silicone by spraying it on a rag and rubbing it on the rubber seal. Creaking gone.

I'm having the same issue! I swear...its the most annoying thing ever... I will try the grease method, hopefully it works...

my head liner itself was the cause of my rattling and clicking comming from the sunroof area....

i threw some pieces of black adhesive-backed foam strips in there, problem fixed!

fkin hell...thanks.... I thought I was the only one having that problem so I never posted it. Super annoying. I will buy this tomorrow.

I did the same thing...problem fixed!

The dealer wanted to replace the entire headliner and shade...I can't imagine the other rattles that would have started.
