Anyone Ever Replace HID Ballast?
Title speaks for itself.. my headlights were moist.. my bad for not sealing them right i guess but im betting its is the ballast, tomorrow im going to try a new bulb but i got a feeling in my gut it isnt goning to work.. so question is has anyone ever replaced the ballast and where did they get it, im thinking of seeing if a junkyard has it since i want to keep it oem as possible.. but if i have to ill go with an aftermarket one.. second question would i have to replace the ignitor with the ballast?
thnx..

Yup, a condensed headlight may burn out your ballast.
The ballast is plug and play if you get OEM.
All you do is unplug the connector attaching to the ignitor.
Most of the time the ignitor is okay, but it doesn't hurt to try things out.
Replace the bulb first, and see what happens.
When the bulb gets heavily condensated, it would fail also.
If that doesn't work, it's most likely your ballast.
The water collected inside the headlight can get into your ballast (since the ballast sits at the bottom of the headlight) and cause it to fry.
