2008 Acura TL

I've highlighted the area that looks weird. I just bought this car and when I looked in the opening it looks like 2 pieces welded together rather than one solid tube like I've seen in other cars. Does mine look normal.. or rather is this what TL gas tank openings look like?

If anyone has a pic of their gas tank opening that'd be great (but I doubt anyone would )

Also, I recently got the "tighten fuel cap" message twice despite the cap being nice and tight already. Today I loosened the cap while my car was on and now I don't even get that warning... not sure if the sensor is broken?

I just picked this car up last week and I've just been worried about stuff like this

yours looks normal.
I have the outer lip and then the inner lip has the rough spots like yours

Any idea why my gas cap sensor isn't warning me when my cap isn't tightened/on? Like I said in my first post, I tried loosening the cap and even left it off and turned on the car, and I don't get a warning. I don't know if the sensor is just a little wonky or if its completely busted.
