Anybody have constant clutch master cylinder problems?

I’ve owned my TL for over two years now, and in the span of those two years I’ve had two clutch master cylinders fail on me, and the third seems pretty likely after driving it the last few days. I’ve replaced with the OEM part both times, I’m not bad at driving stick, and I don’t beat on the car.

Has anyone had a problem with their TL mowing through CMCs, or is it just me? Could it be an underlying issue of some sort?

Hmmm, I've been on this board for about a year and a half and have had my 2006 6MT for fifteen months and have clocked some 25,000 miles; not only have I not had any such issues, but I have yet to run across even a single post in this very active forum which indicates anybody else is having such an issue.

Maybe next time, instead of buying an OEM CMC, you an buy a new LuK unit from RockAuto (currently listed at $30.79). Given the majority of your clutch system is already LuK, this may work out well for you.

I've also never heard of any problems. Maybe you have a gremlin in there

In the 2.5 years I owned my 3G MT, I never had any problems with the clutch master cylinder or anything clutch related. Slight 3rd gear issue which was solved with GM Synchromesh.

Interesting, I guess I’ll give the Luk CMC a shot next. Maybe I just need to adjust my driving style, but I never had problems before on my old Civic.
