any other 04's with this problem?

so i pulled the TL out of garage to drive it one last time before the supposed blizzard that is supposed to hit NY comes tonight/tomorrow, and noticed that the chang oil light notice was on so i drove it out for an oil change.

my place calls me back a bit later and says that he noticed that the rear engine mount needs to be replaced....

considering all i have is the CAI and TB spacer....i was kinda shocked that there was any dmg to the engine mount at all......any other 04 models that have wear on their engine mounts?

Engine mounts will wear over time. What's the build date on the car and how many miles? How do you drive? A lot of factors can contribute to it. Did you physically see the mount?

+1. It's a good idea for you to get aftermarket motor mounts. I have them, and I drive an '07. There's a noted, marked improvement.

I would say that how you drive the car has a more direct impact on engine mount life than milage....... routine WOT accelleration will tear up your mounts faster than lots of miles of nice easy driving.

I have 90K miles on my original mounts on a 02 CL-S.......

Yep. Unfortunately, most vehicles have issues with this later on in the car's life. A lot of people just don't notice it if it isn't pointed out to them.
