Any Canadian TL'ers have their seats changed ?
Is there any canadian owner of TL 2004+ who have their buttprint seats changed by a canadian dealer ?
I informed my dealer that I was not happy at all with the buttprint, and I was told that it is a normal wear, and all the TL are the same. I'm pissed off about this dealer.
He told me that Acura USA and ACura Canada are not the same at all, and it's suppose to be normal that the service and warranty are different from a country to the other.
I told him that next time I buy a Car, I'll go to see Infiniti or BMW instead of Acura....

How look your seats ? I tought that the problem was fixed in 2004 by adding a 3rd section in the cushion...
Can you please post pictures ? I have pictures so we could compare 2004 with 2005.

Seats are Horrible
I have the same problem. The Acura regional manager said they will only replace seats if the leather "cracks open".
the seats look cheap. My car also developed a dent where I have been resting my arm on the driver's side window ledge---very cheap workmanship.
I don't know what my or my wife's car will be, but it will NOT be an Acura.
Pretty sad, they drive well and are well priced, but the quality is just disappointing for the money spent.

It seems that Acura is just not refined enough to be in the Luxury cars company club, like Lexus or Infiniti.
I read a long term test drive of the Acura RL, and they had a lot of problems with the sunroof: the motor (for the sunroof) has been changed twice. They even had to run during few days with a constant opened roof.
I tought that a 50000$ (canadian $) car should be very near perfection, but I was wrong...

buttprint seat
I don't live in Canada, but my friend and I both have TL's. He has an '04 6spd and he had the buttprint problem. He took it to the dealership and they told him the same thing they told you. He insisted something be done about it and they put some extra padding in the seat. It still does the buttprint thing a little, but it's much better. I have an '05 AT and mine does not have the buttprint problem at all, so I think the "normal wear and tear" line is BS.

Few decades ago, when cars were all made by human, you had to choose your car by weekday and try to avoid friday and monday. Was it any better than now ? I doubt it...

I'm in Queens, New York and had the same problem with the "butt prints" in the seats. I spoke to my dealer and insisted something be done about it. They tried to feed me the line about how it's "normal wear and tear" and Acura uses such high grade leather, it's soft, etc. etc. etc. I basically told him he was full of s#@t because the seat looks awful and I own a '01 maxima with leather seats in better condition. I added in the fact that Acura must acknowledge the fact that the seats are crap because in the '05 models they added the extra stitching to try and prevent the butt prints. I demanded the seats be changed out with '05 seats and he told me they could only change the driver's seat. So I would've had 2 totally different looking seats in the front. I told them they could go F#$K themselves and never went back. My next car will definitely be a Benz or Bimmer....you get what you pay for,,,,bottom line.

When did you get it changed (how long ago)?
Did they just re-surface them or were they completely replaced with OEM stuff?
