Another Oil thread!???!

tried searching to see if someone had same issue

So I'm driving to my home town today in my TL and decided to do an oil change last night, it didn't need it but something kept telling me to change so i did, i used mob 1 extend per. 5/30
with mob 1 filter. m1 110

it was easy buuuuut when I was done, I went straight to bed didn't even turn the car on.

this morning Engine light is on...

checked everything, no leaks, and car runs smooth

any idears??? before I go to advance auto at lunch.

I would think you'd get the low oil pressure icon if it was due to lack of oil. Did you also just fill up with gas? Could be gas cap message (not sure if you get a separate message on the MID for the 06TL). Did you do anything else besides change the oil? Could just be coincidence and you have another issue cropping up that is totally unrelated to anything you've done. Best to just get the code read and work from there.

Go back and recheck the hoses near the MAP sensor/accordion intake tube. People have inadvertently knocked a hose loose during air filter changes which causes that CEL. There is a post/s about this somewhere here in the 3G forum.

I seem to recall that it's also possible to damage the MAP sensor during the filter change. I guess it's sensitive to being banged around. You might need to replace the sensor.

You probably disconnected / loosened the harness.

hope you dont need to change the sensor but be sure to check all the connections. I did that stupid mistake once and it drove me crazy looking for other possible problems

You may want to double check to make sure the old oil filter gasket is still not on the mounting surface. A double gasket could cause this.

Yeah, sorry, if it's the MAP sensor, it'd be the harness. Here's picture of the MAP sensor and harness:

Hm, did you manually reset the warning after changing the oil?
:P
