I recently got my rear struts replaced at my dealership because it has the loud rear suspension that the TLS have. There was a long thread about this problem. Anyway, looking at the work order, they replaced the rear left/right shock absorbers and left/right dampers which is the fixed that many people mentioned. Now, I really can't tell the difference if it is better or not. I mean it seems better sometimes, but sometimes it is still loud. I had a tsx as a loaner when this was being repaired and the rear was a lot more quieter. Maybe this is in my head, but I would like to if anyone who has their rear suspension replaced still have this noisy problem? Thanks.

 

ask someone that rides with you frequently if they hear th same things.

i hear phantom rattles now and then; my gf used to make fun of me that i was going crazy

 

No probs, before the fix, the clunking was very noticable.
Aren't dampers/absorbers the same?

 

you are not crazy. I had the rear bushing replaced, rear sway bar links replaced 3 times and the struts 1 time. Noise keeps returning. Car has been in the shop for almost 5 days now for same problem. Noise keeps comming back. Acura has been advised of lemon law claim. This is crazy.

 

Weid, my type-s is super quiet.. hope you can find and fix the prob. Keep bugging the dealer.

Seems like you have a big lemon or the poor service.

 

If someone in the queens, ny area with a typeS can do me a favor and meet up with me for just a few minutes. I would like to sit in your car and you can sit in mine just to listen to the rear suspension. I just want to make sure before I head back to the dealership for them to take a look at it again. Thanks.

 

or go to another dealership or your dealership and drive another one~
