Air fuel ratio sensor bank2 sensor1 Replacement
Hello All,
I had a CEL 2 days ago and a local mechanic diagnosed and associated the problem with Air fuel ratio sensor bank2 sensor1. Can some one please help me with the part no. or let me know if the following part is the one that I should be looking for:
http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/web...___#fragment-4
I have searched online but none of them indicate the correct location. They just mention upstream/downstream. The mechanic wants 200 for part and 70-100 for the labor hence I am trying to cut down on the part cost by purchasing online.
Thanks in advance

Have you tried resetting the ECM and see if the code comes back?
There's a ton of info on the site about simple resets getting rid of codes that come on due to a simple electrical glitch from time to time, and don't really indicate a true problem. Happens to me more times than I care to remember, and as well to other members.
Upstream is the one you want..... There's 2 sensors, one's before the cat/top, and the other is after the cat/bottom.
The sensor from the site looks like the right one, and it also indicates that it's a wideband, which it is on our car (LAF sensor). The downstream sensor is just an O2 sensor.
about $300 for that sounds like a lot....changing it takes 10-15 mins.

First of all, follow Opel's recomendation and get your mechanic or Autozone to reset the code and see if it returns. Having said that:
Your mechanic is raping you on both parts and labor. The part lists for $165. You can replace it yourself in 30 minutes tops.
It's part #10 in this diagram:

Order from them or PM one of the Azine vendors if you want do it yourself.
If nothing else, go back to your mechanic and tell him you know his cost is less than $120 for the part. Good luck
