Air condition doesn't work...no hot air!
I'm sure this is a simple fix, but I'm not exactly handy...mechanically speaking. Can anyone tell me what I need to replace to get warm air back into the car? I only get cold air despite the a/c saying it's at a temperature of Hi or 85, etc. It's COLD!
Thanks,
Eric

wait, are you suggesting that the car needs to be warmed up before i can hot air? -_- i know that part! lol there's no warm air blowing out of the vents PERIOD, even if on high, and after the car has been warmed up (say, driven for an hour).
well.. yes.. it takes a while for the core to warm up.. but not too long. I experienced this same problem and my issue ended up being the heater control valve. It's located at the rear firewall about 2/3 up. It has an in and out pipe and a cable wire attached to the valve lever. Open your hood and take a look at the rear of the block against the firewall and look for a leaky valve.. you should notice coolant everywhere, even below on the fuel / brake lines.. if that's what you see then for sure it needs replacement.. I think the valve itself cost ~$20.. but I bought two new pipes as well. It's a little bit tricky because you need to reach over the block and use some precision picks to carefully remove the tubes from the core but doesn't take long to perform.
You have a blend-door problem. Hint the name blend door because it goes from max hot-cold and a blend of both to get the right temp in which you set it at.
Or you got air in the cooling system, if you keep it above idle with heat on max it should get warmer intill you get off idle the air will turn cold again.
