again, o2 sensor, rear bank, primary
again, o2 sensor, rear bank, primary
Ive searched and read all o2 sensor threads I could find on the site and anywhere else I could.
I just wanted to run this by you guys, I have an 04 with 63k on it. o2 sensor is bad. My buddy at Honda had a tech test it, he didnt give me the code but he wrote down "rear bank. primary" They were doing it for free and I dont really know the tech so I didnt want to question it, I thought I could figure it out, but now Im looking at the link below and trying to figure out which out of numbers 9, 10, 11, and 13 I need to replace. I've googled all four part numbers and they all come up as oxygen sensors but I'm not seeing the same wording as what he gave me. Any thoughts? I'm thinking #13. Thanks.

I just had my O2 sensor replaced a couple of days ago on my '05 since my CEL came on a week ago. Have you gone to AutoZone to get a free reading, too? They'll print out the codes for you and see if it matches up to your read out at Honda.
Update.
Thanks for the help, I replaced #9 on Sunday and the check engine light has not come back on so I'm thinking that was the problem. It cost me $130 or so after shipping. It was a little hard to reach between the engine and the firewall but it worked out.

Good job assuming #9 was the O2 Sensor. Wished you did a DIY to help some people that are illiterate in cars like myself!
(Maybe there is one on these forums, but too lazy)

on replacing the O2 sensor? the rear bank, primary O2 sensor really isn't hard to replace. all you need is an O2 socket wrench and you're good to go. all you need to do after loosing in the O2 sensor is unhook the harness that holds the clip (from the sensor). make sure that you DO NOT TOUCH THE NEW O2 sensor. Put it into a zip-lock bag in between transferring.
