Aftermarket HID problem

Aftermarket HID problem

Well I had the worst of luck trying to put in 8000k bulbs in my car...I have an 07 tls...the bulbs r 35w...so I first tried to put it in the driver side couldn't do it through the wheel well so took off bumper and the side piece will I was doing it through the wheel well the white wire on top of the hid I guess its the connector came off I jus connected it back where it semmed right...and put the bulb in and it works for like 5 min and then turns off and then whn I turn the lights off and on...the hid turns back on...I don't have thisproblem on the passenger side becuz its still stock didn't change it yet...and when I turn the lights on the driver side makes a noise I like bees hummming near u but not on thw stock hid...and I didn't put thw cover on.....is that a problem or I doesn't matter.....thanks for any help

Well usually when you turn on your HID's and they shut off a few minutes later it's a bad ballast. As per the humming noise, thats normal for aftermarket HID's.

That humming noise is your car screaming in protest, wanting its nice stock bulbs back. JK

In all seriousness, I wouldn't be surprised if the bulbs are defective. Those high kelvin bulbs are mostly made in China with inferior materials compared to the name brand stock color temp ones.

IDK why you would want 8000k bulbs anyway, as they have a lower lumen output and worse color definition that stock. To each their own I guess.

I would just stick the stock ones back in..
