I installed the front lip with extra 3M (extra strength) double sided tape but the gaps are still there. Has anyone tried another adhesive like epoxy? I was thinking about picking up some Loctite plastic epoxy. It has a 7 minute set up time but I'm not sure how I'm going to keep the pieces together other than just leaning against it. Any thoughts?

 

How big is the gap?

If not big, try to get the rubber piece from for 07 and 08 aspec lip kit.

 

I would not put epoxy on the bumper or lip.. are you sure its lined up correctly?

 

The gap is 2-3 mm. The double sided tape is still attached to both sides its just being pulled apart. Everything lined up perfectly just the sides are pulling apart. The back wasn't as easy but the tape has not separated.

 

thats weird... perhaps you should take a pic and upload it.. did you use alcohol or prepsol to remove any previous wax/grease from both bonding points?

 

I had a similar issue. Here was my solution. No matter how much time/patience, solvent and double sided tape in different configurations I could NOT get this thing to hold strong. Read this thread I had made.
