Acura TL check engine light on and off

i have a 07 Acura TL yesterday my check engine light came on in the morning n the rest of the day. Today I started it and NO check engine light was there I drove to work n back it was fine , I went to the store a hour after and it came back on anyone have a possible explanation? I try to put Chervon 95 in it every chance but I happened to use Mobil 91 the other day could this be the case?

Just take it up to Autozone and have them check the code. CEL's can oftentimes be caused by something as simple as not tightening the gas cap enough (or even the seal of the gas cap wearing out). Either way, Autozone will scan the codes for free and you will then know exactly the cause of the CEL...

My TL of the same year is doing the same thing.. It's the gas cap but it's also the evap purge solenoid needing to be replaced.. It's only about 120 bucks and fairly easy to replace plenty of videos on YouTube. No damage is being done to the car with the light being on its just spewing out more harmful exhausts
