Just bought this car and I have the gas cap issue so called my sales guy and he ordered me a new one. Will this fix the issue or is there something else I need to have Honda fix.?

 

Turn you old gas cap about 10 times. I dont see why the new one wouldn't fix your issue.

 

No, you need a new purge control valve. It's a common issue.

About $100 and very easy to install it yourself, ~10min job taking your time. My car had the same gas cap warning when I got it, changed the purge valve, no problems since, been over 2 years now. Check your gas cap, if the gasket isn't cracked, this is your problem.
