Ack! Backlight problems? (i think?!?!?)

I recently purchased a TL, and just noticed that a few backlights on the dash seem to be out. Most notably the lights illuminating the hot/cold buttons for the driver's side! Would that be a simple replacement? And if so....can i do it in blue, instead of green?

Confused if you're calling for AckTL05 or simply using the word lol

It's a very easy replacement to change those bulbs, but can be time consuming.

The thing is, you'd have to do the whole interior button lighting in blue if you want it look look nice, including the steering wheel, etc.

I would just buy an OEM bulb and call it a day =)

All you have to do is remove the metal trims, remove some screws, pull back the center console, and replace the bulbs.

Nah, I was just using it out of frustration lol.

Looks super easy! I imagine the trip just pops right off?

Gah...the blue....so tempting....but the OEM....so practical...

Yep the silver trim just pops off, but with A LOT of force.

Some of the clips were really stubborn.

Basically I just used a butter knife to get it started, then used my hands to pull them off the clips.

You also want your seat set all the way back so you have room to work.

I also apologize in my previous post I thought you were refering to the seat warmer lights.

For the climate controls, you'll need to take apart the whole console.

It's not as hard as you think lol

There's a lot of guides on here that will help you get behind the climate button.
