Accelerator Position Pedal Sensor
Accelerator Position Pedal Sensor
Has anyone had their APP sensor covered under the powertrain warranty? I'm out of the bumper to bumper warranty on my 06 TL. I tried to make the argument that since all I had was 2nd & 3rd gear with my autotransmission this part was related to the powertrain. I know its a stretch but its not like a window motor going bad. My drive train was affected as I only had 2 gears, could only getup to 45mph (3rd gear only) and was extreamly slow in starting from a stop (2nd gear only). The warranty book notes the the powertrain control module under the transmission is covered. This sensor in essence was a powercontrol type module. I know its a weak argument. I've had it replaced at my Acura dealer and now the car drives fine. They said it was not a warranty item (of course they would). Thanks for any advice. I was going to elevate this to Acura Customer Service unless its a complete was of time.
