Ac condenser fan not working.
Ac condenser fan not working.
👋🏻 so I ran into this problem in my Acura 2006 just a couple days ago when engine started overheating with AC on. I checked what I could and it turns out that:
- when engine cold in the morning I turn the ignition ON (engine off) there’s 12.4v and the condenser fan works slowly.
- engine on, AC on, NO voltage on condenser fan Ac works flawlessly but NOT the fan.
When AC works like for a longer period of time, turn the engine off, ignition ON the condenser fan doesn’t work like it was in the morning. On the next morning it does again (lower pressure?)
Does it have to do with a pressure in the system? Just a thought. 🤔 💭 Could it be the ac pressure sensor? Or just a wire? No f idea I’ll tell ya. Been struggling to no avail.

Thought I'd post some info from the FSM as the rad fan and condensor fan run at various times.
Test the fan motors
Disconnect the 2P connectors from the radiator fan motor and condensor fan motor.
Test each motor by connecting battery power to the B terminal and ground to the A terminal.
If either motor fails to run or not to run smoothly, replace it.
There is also low and high speed operation on the fan motors, also with the A/C off and engine coolant temp at 206 degrees or below, condensor fans runs on high, rad fan doesn't run. Coolant over 206 degrees, bot run high speed.
Both should run at low speed when A/C on.
If you have access to the FSM take a look as it will give additional information as to testing curcuits.
Naturally if fans are running and car overheats look at the thermostat.
