(>_<) VSA Light, Excessive Vibration, ETC.. FREAKING CAR PROBLEMS!!
So today I'm driving home on the 408 after working a funeral detail with the sheriffs office and the check engine comes on. Like an hour ago, I was driving the car and the vsa light pops up and took forever and a day to accelerate. I pull over turn the car off, no vsa light but the check engine light remains on.
The transmission has well over 200k miles on it and has be shifting gears extremely rough and make all type of clunk an thump noises (not sure if these are the best choice of words).
For the longest time when I began to accelerate, the car will shake. I've changed both axles, passenger side lower control arm, swapped the spindles to the brembo spindles, etc.. The vibration went away, when i install the brembo, and I thought the problem was fixed, but after the first 5-10mins, it was right back.
I think it is safe to say that the transmission is on its last limb.
Also another problem that I noticed, whenever i make a right hand turn, I hear some weird noise. Sounds like a ground is shorting.

..oh the car is an 04 TL.. Using amsoil 10w30 Oil and is about 60%. Always use 93 octane.
I changed the 3rd and 4th gear switch, oil filter and started using amsoil ATF about 2 months ago..

Vibrations can be caused by your motor mounts. 200k and if those mounts where at least changed once check them again. This may be an internal transmission failure which internals can be worn to the point where the transmission will cause a vibration. APP Sensor can also be at fault, usually they throw a CEL before they completely fail. VSA light on is telling you there is a fault in the ABS, traction control system. You need to have it scanned and let us know what the CEL + VSA is on for.

i have the same problem i really need help!! i recently had my axles replaced because of the shaking from 60+. then the axle seal broke and the tranny fluid spilled all out. i had it towed to the shop that did it and they fixed the seal and drained the rest of my tranny fluid. they filled it with new fluid and i noticed that a shaking from 20-40ish. i know that it couldnt be the axles (because they are brand new) and i know its not the wheels or tires because i never had as shaking at that speed with the old axles.
and i was just driving home today and i got a vsa light and traction light on too. it takes forever to accelerate and at times i can feel that my tires slipping like coming off a light at medium throttle. im wondering if its because of the new tranny fluid?? someone please help. btw im at 66k miles on an auto tranny. tranny fluid change was only done once and was about 300 miles ago.

The same two problems exist after the brembo conversion, new axles, a new tranny.. I just gave up and stop caring about this car.. driving it until the wheels fall off

This was the answer to the VSA light/no acceleration problem for me. The computer code said "bad throttle body." After we (my mechanic) replaced it 3 times, we still got the problem - testing and replacing the APP sensor solved it.
