98k miles and havin some problems

1. Car seems to bog and or not be as responsive as it used to be.

2. Car idles sporadically, drops to 500 then to 900 then steady at 800 then repeat over a 5 minute period. (No not the fans or anything kicking in)

Im thinking at my mileage i should probably do the following:

New spark plugs, radiator fluid drain and fill, seafoam. Any other suggestions?

My 05 is right at 95k miles.. Although I haven't experienced any of those problems, I did Seafoam it Saturday and HOLY SHIT. It was crazy. Sounds like it may have water in the gas since idles crazy, does it seem like it is sputtering and wanting to stall and does it stop when you increase the throttle?

Yeah it sputters a bit but its alright when i give it throttle, though i can tell you right now the car is not pulling like it was 2 weeks ago

There were times when it dropped to a little bit under 500 rpms but then bounced up again quickly as if the computer went oh fu- and reved it a little or something

Could you be a little more specific? I installed my AEM v2 a few days ago and it was excellent until today. I experienced this sluggish problem last year too during the hot summer months and it went away come fall

Do you treat your car with a quality fuel system cleaner on a periodic basis - say every 10,000 miles? Have you had any check engine lights with codes indicating EGR problems? Does the engine hestitate and then pickup just as you tip into the throttle when leaving from a stop? Do you use high quality name brand fuel in your car?

Never used any fuel system cleaner to be honest, its something i am going to do. I always use 93 octane fuel.

Yes the car hesitates then picks up when leaving from a stop, no the car has never had a cel problem.

Even though you're not throwing a code (CEL) you might want to pull the EGR valve and check/clean/replace it. Seems to be a lot of problems lately with plugged EGR valves. Do a search for "P0404". I posted the scan for EGR removal in one of those threads. Blow it out with compressed air or just replace it.

Yep. Also I would advise cleaning the throttle body and in particular the throttle valve seats. Also he should use a fuel system cleaner, like Chevron Techron periodically to clean out the entire fuel system. Cheap insurance.

Did you forget to reconnect a vac hose or something? Pop the hood and start looking for something obvious.

Noticed something new when taking out the spark plugs... The plugs are old but theyre white all around which my friend says indicates the engine is burning very hot which would mean its running lean. Which leads me to believe it is possible that my power loss issue im having in high temperatures is a combo of this and 90 degree air?

Either way im going to run some injector cleaner through the car
