[QUOTE=F(x);15637864]Gauge Control Module is the clusters assembly. Is there a VSA light on the dash, or any other lights lit?
2003 tl type s Vsa light is on the triangle is on and when I bought the car knowing it needed a idle, air control valve so I didnt have a manual or a owners manaul.i got the car home on the ride I checked the vsa button it,turned on and off fine the cruise worked fine I had the engine running and unplugged the tps or vsa sensor on the intake and plugged the sensor back up and found the idle air, control valve changed,it and the car idled perfect that was 6 months ago the vsa light comes on as soon as the car starts and I can push the cruise control button next to the vsa button the green light pcomes on there but not on the dash. Also the transmission. It shows on the dash when it's in park reverse neutral but d5,and d4 doesn't light 3 does 2 does 1,does light up like they should also all my gauge lights at night when I turn the lights on even if it onlymy, marker lights I lose my gauge cluster lights to see speed ,r.p.m. fuel even the clock as soon as I turn the headlightts off every thing lights back up.i have
a good obd2scanner and it throwing 84-1 and tells me to test all sensors yaw rating and 2 other thing but as soon a I click OK it says test failuew

Fix to 84-1 Problem

If you for sure have the 84-1 code watch this video:

I bought the scan tool used in the video on Amazon, used it for 2 minutes to reset everything, and then returned it to get all of my money back. My headache is gone, and it was much easier (and cheaper since I returned the tool) than fixing it by shorting out pins or taking it to the dealer!

so Bill, in this current pandemic situation you choose to rip people off for their products so you can solve your own problem for free. then return the device, and I bet, without provide a glowing review. Your parents are ashamed of you, hell everyone is ashamed of you.

Sort of, I guess?

To your point that it was in the current pandemic situation (which we have all been affected by, including myself), absolutely. I did leave a glowing review on their product page, and on the video I watched. Why wouldn't I have done that? Their product is great, just expensive. I love a good straw man argument as much as the next guy, and this sure is a good one.

You sound like you've either been affected by the pandemic more than most, or like you work for the company. Either way, I hope you're doing well.

P.S.

If you need to fix your 84-1 code, I still highly recommend the tool and video I linked.

I would have to say that the attempt that I made, fixed the problem. The light or the erratic behavior of the gauge needles has not happen since I cleaned the fuse box and connectors. Pls let me know what you find.
