6MT Suspension click on acceleration
My 05 6MT has always had this. When accelerating from a stop, you can hear what sounds like the suspension flexing, and it is heard again when letting off the gas as the front settles back to normal, then again in 2nd gear, and 3rd if it's quiet enough to hear......
Did a search but couldnt find anything.
Anyone else with this sound?
Thanks,
John

I have the same problem. I assumed it was something to do with the axle or CV joint. I took it to Acura and the tech said it was coming from the Brembo pads. They installed new pads and rotors under warranty and the noise is exactly like it was. Now, they claim "normal operation." A$$holes.

I get the same noise, the tech said it could be the shims clicking against the Brembo calipers. It is at the dealer now for several issues (not being able to go into third gear, and rattling window motor.)

Its probably the axle. I've had one axle replaced once and the other twice for a total of three new axles. Search for my username and the term axle and you'll see a few threads about this.
Get the car on a lift and twist the axle with your hand. You can feel it and barely hear a slight click that you could imagine would be more pronounced under load.

Dealer calls me and states that they cannot repeat any of the symptoms I took it in for. They stated that they had 2 techs and a Honda rep test drive my car and nothing. I will pick it up tomorrow and if I hear anything they will hear me vent, and take the car apart if need be. The service dept at the dealer has changed and they could be slacking off. A 1 year old car should be sound free and transmission issue free.

I took my TL to get serviced for many problems and this was one of them. The dealership looked at it and just made sure all the suspension componets where tight as well as bolts. That took care of the click, but there was another one that the dealer said it was the linkage just doing its job....

i got the same problem.i think its the e brake drum shoes in the back.yes there are shoes and pads.my buddy looked it up at a parts store.try and put your e brake on,put it in first, and let off slowly, repeat in reverse.you should hear a clicking noise.if you do,the shoes are the problem.
