6MT squishy in gears 2nd,4th and 6th gear. (All of the sudden)

I drove the car about 90 miles and parked it for 2 days. I had no problems during the initial commute. It did get pretty hot out during the two days it was parked. (98F). I started it up last night and instantly noticed when going into 2nd gear it has a squishing feeling like something is obstructing the shifter. I looked down and nothing is in the boot (like a cell phone). After that, I noticed the 4th and 6th gear were doing the same thing ?!. The top gears 1,3,5 are fine.

My only guess is something is caught in the linkage under the car.

Anyone else ever have this problem? I haven't looked under the car yet so I don't know if the linkage is exposed.

I know mine sometimes 1st can be a little fickle, and 3rd on upshifts. Other then those rare occasions it's like butter. And it's been pretty damn hot here too.

The transmission has always been like butter. It's probably one of the best transmissions I have ever had. The bottom gears just feel squishy and I'm afraid it's going to pop out.
