6 MT Owners: Steering Wheel Shake/Shudder

So, i've been noticing lately that i feel a little shudder or shake in my steering when i pull off from first. It's most frequest when i'm turning from a stop. I thought maybe it had something to do with the A/C being on and me possibly not giving the car enough gas from a stop. I turned the A/C off yet still it's there. Just started happening the past few weeks and i'm pretty sure my driving style has remained the same, so hopefully it isn't "user error".
any input is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I have the same issue in my 05. I thought maybe it was my Turanza EL's so I waiting until after I get a new set of tires to see if thats the issue.

shudder 'n shake

Something to check with the steering would be the cv half shafts and the rack's components. You indicated that it was somewhat more noticeable when turning, this would lead me to believe that something has loosened up. Also inspect the suspension, especially the struts and ball joints. Is it worse when turning one direction vs the other ?

Def not side dependent. I don't wanna say that its not something loose, but it feels like a sputter of sorts...like i was sayin, if i'm easy on the accelerator, its like a he-he-he-hesitation that i can feel. A vibration in the steering. i also can feel it thruout the car. Even had a passenger notice it too. I guess i gotta get it up to the dealer to see what's goin on. I'm familiar with bad cv's (in other cars tho, not this one. dont know that it matters) and i'm not too confident that's whats going on. but it very well could be.

How old are your tires? Could be scalloping... Do you also notice any shake/shudder at high speeds?

or dry rot or flat spots...

could also be wheel weight missing

see if you can have the wheels rebalanced...

Tires have less than 8k on em, been rotated and wheels are properly balanced. I'm sure its not the tires/wheels. I'm leanin towards something steering related just cuz the feeling is transmitted the most thru there (even tho i can feel it thruout). I really need to get it looked at. it doesn's do it when the wheel is straight, no crazy vibration at highspeeds. It ONLY happens when i'm coming off a stop and the wheel is turned in either dierction.

OP....does it occur when your approaching the initial engagement of the gear? it does it on mine when the mounts are busted. On top of that I have a bad throwout bearing and fork...and thats whats been causing my shutter since i had the clutch changed.... but i called honda on this problem because the tech verified it was a bad bearing n whatever else it is... and its getting done under warranty when i get the 3rd gear tsb done. the clutch is also getting swapped out. premature wear wasnt something i was expecting 10k miles down the road.

it does do it at the initial engagement of first. which mounts? Motor mounts? currently i have 58k on the car. i don't know if it's the original clutch as i am the second owner. I hope to make an appointment for next week. kinda want to wait for the switchblade key to arrive so i can get it programmed. dealer isn't really close, so i wanna get all i can get done at once.

It could be the Limited Slip Differential engaging & unengaging badly. Warn parts, dirty fluid etc.

I just had my front axel replaced. I was experiencing a shudder between 45-50 MPH at light acceleration.

side motor mount makes the biggest difference in movement.
