You are too early for the first change.

The special non-detergent break-in oil, allows metal to metal wear the engine needs to establish the parts mating. Change too soon and you short the engine a vital step in its life

Wait till at least 5000 miles- maybe 6000- that should put you at 0-10 percent on the mid- thats fine. Normally it will zero at 7500 miles- the recommeneded change time

At that point you can run the basic dinosaur oil or run the TL on synthetic now
You can switch back and forth with no issues too

If you have any rattles or things the car does you dont understand after reading the owner manual, or you notice a speaker blown - any little thing from assembly- THIS is the time to get it noted and taken care of while in the first 12 month 12k miles

When you go to the dealer- they know what your car needs at the first service-
they make sure nothings leaking and address any complaints- change oil and filter and send it down the road

Well im returning the car in 3 years and even if i buy it out i might keep it for 5 or 6 years top. So im not worried about shorting the engine out as u say? And i heard it was better to change ur oil sooner any way so doesn't matter.

01TL4TL is right and your dealer should back up what he is saying.

But if you don't care then why worry about getting anything else done? Your dealer will tell you, they always know best.....

BTW, I only use the dealer for state inspections. That's how convinced that they know the best.
