3rd Brake Light Cover Fabric

Hey all, was wondering if anyone had to "repair" their third brake light cover's fabric. Seems mine is hanging down like an old Nova's headliner, flapping in the breeze when the windows are down. I purchased the 3M adhesive spray, but didn't know if there are any tricks to doing this flawlessly, like spreading it out, or spraying light mists instead of a lot, etc.. My wife's accord is doing this as well on the A-pillars. It's pretty annoying and haven't seen any threads on this issue.. Thanks!!

I di this the other day, its actually quite simple. Heres what I did:

1) remove the 3rd light cover:
https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-2004-2008-93/3rd-brake-light-cover-564055/

2) remove liner from plastic cover: I left the whole edge that faces to the front of the car untouched since this was pretty well glued.

3) Put it flat on a table and spread so that the liner's back part and the plastic part where you are going to stick it it are laying flat on the table. (cover table so you dont mess it up)

4) spray the adhesive: just a little will do, I sprayed a little more than needed and it soaked the fabric in some places. (nothing huge, just a little bit)

5) your gona want to be carefull you dont get wrinkles when you stick it back together.

All in all, it was a easy job and it looks way better now.

Also, search the forums, there are some threads on this that might help.

^^^ BTW, just to clear things up, you only need to remove the third brake light Cover, not the light nor disconect or unscrew anithing. To remove the third light cover just pull down on the corners of the cover and it should pop right off, its held in plice by pins which will release whene some preasure is applied.

you are welcome and GL

I had a can of 3m Super 77 spray so that's what I used. As you say, a little is all you need.
