3rd brake light cover.

I just finished tinting all my windows and reinstalled the 3rd brake light cover. I'm not sure how it was before but it seems like it hangs down a little about 1/2 inch enough to where the red brake light reflects on the back window making it harder to see at night due to the reflection. Does yours also hang a little or a tight fit. Thanks.

Mine has a little gap as well after tint and I see the brake light reflection at night. I even had the cover replaced under warranty (unrelated) and the reflection is still there. I have read that others have had this problem and they solved it by shoving a piece of black foam in the gap to prevent light leakage.

Thanks a lot. I tried double sided tape for temp fix but won't stick to rubber seal. I guess foam it is. Thanks again.

As one of the 20 or so items the bodyshop screwed up, mine sagged so bad it lit up the entire inside of the car to where I couldn't see out the back window with the brakes on. I bought new plastic clips and used clear silicone to stick it to the window. This cured the light leaking problem and also the rattle from bass.
