3G engine in 2G
Question for the experts:
I have a wrecked 06 TL (auto) and a 03 TL-S (auto) with a failing engine. What, if anything, needs to be modified to drop the engine from the 06 into the 03.

The J engine is bulletproof with regular maintenance. Why is yours failing?
I recommend getting an engine from an 02-03 type s. As it will be plug and play. Or rebuild your failing one.

Hey. Thanks for the reply, but I think you missed the point of the question.
My failing engine has 250K miles on it. It's done it's duty, and deserves a rest. The fact is that I have a good engine and transmission sitting in the driveway that I don't have to buy. I am looking to find out if there are any significant differences between the harnesses of the 03 and 06 J32s. Do you have any experience with that? Thanks.

I didn't want to spam the question, but I went ahead and asked it there when I didn't get much response here.
I did search for it before posting, but didn't find anything relevant.
