2008 TL Type-S Valve & Cylinder issues after timing belt replacement

2008 TL Type-S 6-Speed Manual
82,000 miles

In June the Acura dealer replaced a number of items, see below, and now the end of October the engine light came on. Drove it straight to the dealer to find out cylinders 1, 4, 5 and 6 are bad, but was not given a reason why. I asked them for the reason why the cylinders went bad and they kept telling me I just needed to replace them. I pushed... come to find out the valves are bent which caused the problems with the cylinders. Now, see what was replaced in June...
1. Oil pump and seals/gaskets
2. Purge control solenoid
3. Clutch assembly, throw-out bearings, pressure plate and flywheel assembly
4. Water pump
5. Serpentine/eternal drive belts
6. TIMING BELT PACKAGE with timing belt tensioner
Had to take the car back in after first day of getting it back because it was slipping out of all gears. Come to find out they failed to tighten the shifter linkage. Received it back to take it back in the following day for the same problem.
Now in the end of October... engine light comes on.
Can you please tell me what causes valves to bend and cause cylinder problems? Does it happen from a timing belt being installed incorrectly? If so, what was done wrong??
As you can see, I know nothing about cars, so any help with this would be very welcoming.

Over-revved, missed shift.

Yeah, if the car ran fine for 4 months, it's unlikely the TB change was to fault.

I'm not sure, does the ECM store a record of over revs? If so, the dealer should be able to see that with the HDS...

Could be that a valve adjustment was done wrong as well.

I'd get a second opinion..
First, what are the codes it threw?
If it's multiple misfires and the cyl pressures are off.. I'd suspect it needing a valve adjustment.

Obviously missing a shift and revving it past redline may cause cylinder to valve contact
But if you're sure that never happened.. I'd go to a reputable indie shop that specializes in Hondas and get it checked out.
Run fast.

btw.. how much did they charge you for that service in June
I'm guessing it wasn't cheap (although it could have been)

Highly, highly unlikely that this would lead to a bent valve, much less multiple bent valves...

My bet is still an over rev....
