2008 TL side mirrors

I got a 2008 TL Type S. Bought it a month ago. When i bought it, i think, when i put it in reverse bith mirrors used to tilt down. Now only one of them would tilt down, left or right if switch on L or R.

I just want to make sure, anyone else witj same model, does both your mirrors tilt down or just one at a time.? Just wondering.... Thanks.

Only the exterior mirror you select will rotate down when the TL is put in reverse-- that's as designed.

You can put the switch in the center position so that neither mirror rotates down.

Owner's and Navigation manuals are available on-line through the 3G Service Dept./Garage at https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-2004-2008-93/j-020-3g-acura-tl-owners-manual-navi-manual-warranty-booklet-pdfs-851625/.

Welcome to AZ.

^ What he said. Only one is designed to tilt down at a time. Whichever is selected by the button.

i noticed my mirrors acting possessed as well but when put into park or even starting the car, the driver mirror will move up and click to past full scroll and continue to click. i found that if i set my seat and mirrors and then hit the save seat button and select 1 or 2(i chose 1, i never tried 2) it stopped. try that??

^try that? he solved his problem.
your problem however is a dry tract. you'll need to grease the mirror tract.

related topic...

my driver side mirror was on 'tilt down' mode when reversing...and so when I put the car in reverse, it did its thing...HOWEVER, once I put the car back into neutral (6MT), the mirror begin going up... BUT get this.. it didn't stop..it kept trying to go up and so it was pointed at the sky. I was like WTF... only happened once and haven't been able to duplicate it but odd thing that's for sure.
