My 2008 base TL brake lights weren't working and the transmission interlock not releasing. Through this forum I discovered fuse #13 under the hood was blown.
I replaced it with a new 20 amp fuse, which cleared the issue, but after 15 minutes of driving that one blew.
Any suggestions where to go from here?

 

First thought is a short at or near the switch(s) on the brake pedal. that would explain both the fuse blowing and the interlock failure.
