2008 TL-blown head gasket?

Today i was driving my car we i noticed the my temp gage was up 3/4 of the way. I was about 1 mile away from my house so i figured id just deal with it at home. On that one mile back to my house the temp dropped back down to half way were it usually is. i pull into my drive way pop the hood and see there is no coolant. I noticed a puddle where i was parked the night before so it must be coolant. now the question is did i blow my gasket? I'm not getting white smoke but I'm getting sweaty exhaust tips and a lot of pressure in the hose, there wasn't any coolant in my oil which was a relief. I'm hoping its just a leak but the sweaty exhaust tips isn't something i wanted to see. what do you guys think? i can't get my mechanic to look at it till monday.

No coolant where? In the overflow bottle or the entire radiator?

The puddle could just be A/C condensation from the A/C drain tube. If the puddle on the floor lines up on the passenger side near the firewall, then it's just water from the drain tube

What hose?

It's normal for water to come out of the exhaust. Hard to know if that is something to get excited about.

Need advice

Hello my tl just blew a head gasket this morning. Took it to a shop burden auto care in Houston and they quoted me 3800 for a used motor parts/labor. Should I sell it as is or let them swap a new motor than sell it? I really want a tacoma truck.

i'm in houston too.

why do they want to swap the engine. take the heads off, machine them then put them back on.

also, i recently got an engine swap into my TL. my friend blew the engine, but I picked up a used engine for $650 and had my mechanic install it for another $650. $1300 and some change for an engine swap.

you're absolutely getting hosed no matter what you do....as they'll probably charge you just as much for the heads

Ya to me they are to lazy and don't want to repair the heads and just swap the motor easy money.
What's a good shop to swap the motor in houston?

here's my mechanic's garage:
6001 Maple street, Houston, Texas 77074, there's no sign on the garage/warehouse.
2817999647
His name is Fernando. he's a personal friend that our group of houston acuraziners use to do big jobs, like a head swap or engine swap.
