2007 Type S TPMS questions/problem

We got our 2007 type s in september last year, at the time it had the factory wheels with tpms sensors and they were working fine. For winter here in Canada I got seperate wheels without the sensors and winter tires for winter. I knew we would get the dash light and notification with the winter wheels, but the problem is now that I have switched back to the factory wheels with tpms I am still getting "system function error" and none of the tires pressures are reading on the dash. I switched them 3 days ago and have driven a fair bit. Stupid question here but does the wheel need to be mounted in a specific location on the lugs? Any advice or knowledge is very appreciated. Cheers.

How many miles have you driven since the installation?
No need for dedicated placement as they should register in a rather short period of driving.

Question along the same lines. How are these things calibrated? Maybe OP needs to go through a calibration procedure?

You can get the sensors reset I believe. On BMWs you have reset the tmps sensors after doing any tire work. I had a 07 tl but always had the stock wheels.

You might have to go to the dealer to get it check out. That message means the sensors are not measuring any pressure

Well I have tried unhooking the battery overnight to reset it with no luck, I also tried clearing any codes with my obdII but there werent any, also entered diagnostic mode on nav screen to try and clear codes but there werent any also. I think my next move is to take it into acura to have it reset but Im nervous it will happen again next year.

I would be very surprised if you have a TPMS error on your dash and you don't have stored error messages in behind the diagnostics menu. If you are worried about next year, another set of TPMS sensors may be in order. I have two sets and have had no problem for years.

Remove the fuse is a 7.5 v in the front left panel with out disconnecting the battery that will clear the tpms unit of any code all code are save in the tpms unit that the ecu. Ones you do the all sensor will read 55 psi that means the system don't have pending code. When you put the fuse but on drive the car for al leas 5 minute at at least 27 mph that will fix your problem.
