2007 Type S Automatic Slipping gears?

Hello everyone,
My TL is just at around 50k miles now, and when I got it last year I did the redline fluid change 3x3 at around 37k miles. Lately the last month or two it has been slipping, most noticeably when it shifts 1-3, and it will shoot up an extra 300-500rpm it seems then come back down. Is there any way to fix this? Maybe switch back to Honda oem fluids or am I screwed?

Thanks,
David

EDIT: I am using 2 Type F and 1 Lightweight(for cold weather) mix on my 3x3, just to clarify that.
ATF RACING TYPE-F 1-QUART
AUTO LIGHTWEIGHT ATF QT

Switches are still OEM, don't know if changing them would help at all.

Sorry to double post, but it would not let me edit my OP after 15 minutes.

so you did 3 drain and fills, and each time you use 2 qts redline racing type F, and 1 qt lightweight racing, correct? and also do you mean 2-3 shift? I dont think the TL will do a 1-3 shift without going to 2nd gear. is it more like a flare where instead of a slip? a flare is a momentary jump in rpm before it catches gear, and a slip is when after its in gear, it can jump rpm without accelerating. If so, I know what you need to do.

Hello, I am on my phone right now and will try to get better info in a bit. First 1x3 I did 3 type f and after that I did the 2 type f and one lightweight. And repeated that for the third fill also. By 1-3 I just ment each gear, sorry for the confusion :p. thinking off the top of my head I'm not sure at this moment which one I would pick, I think when im accelerating and it is getting ready to shift it will jump up in rpm first then go down. I'll pay attention when I leave here and post back when I get home.

Sounds like the Type-F flare. Does not happen to everyone, but apparently to most, including myself. Read this thread ...

https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-2004-2008-93/optimal-percentage-racing-atf-834299/

The 'optimal' percentage of Type-F is generally considered 66% Type-F and 33% D4 (redline). I am personally running a 50/50 mix. Specifically a ratio of:

2 D4
1 racing TypeF
1 LW racing TypeF

Hopefully you have not driven too many miles with your flare.

Hey, that does seem like my problem! I am going to get 2 d4 and 1 type F and see if that improves it Thanks.

OK, it will take about 30-50 miles, gestimate, before your flaring will stop completely. Drive gently until then, and stop a few times at first, run the gear shift through all gears (while stopped), then gently run through all gears repeatedly shifting gently (meaning use light throttle). There is no need to use the shift paddles.

I am not going to reply again, as I do not have a TL, so if you have more questions or concerns, you should post to the link I listed. Good luck.

how is that possible? the gear shift only allows you to go to 2nd gear while stopped.
