I have a rattle that seems to be eminating from the (passenger side) GLOVE box. It does not rattle when its open. It does when its closed, on mildy bumpy road surfaces. It does not rattle when I hold it closed. Possible solution?

 

Make sure the latch inside glove box is tight ! On mine one screw was loose, then I adjusted the latch by pushing up on latch with the end of a hammer handle. It pulled in the door to fit tighter. Hope this helps!

 

must be a loose screw... try to tighten all the screws in there

 

I found that the 2 damper arms were disconected from the glove box. You will have to pull them down and hook them into the pin on both sides of the glove box.

 

thanks for the replies, I check for those 3 symptoms this weekend and see if any are the culprit. By the way, it sounds like its coming from the right side of the glovebox. its soo annoying!
