2007 Acura TL
Hello everyone, let me explain my situation. I just bought my first car - a 2007 Acura TL Base w/Technology Package (Automatic). I love this car so much and I've only had it for about a month and a half. I purchased it at my local Acura dealership as a certified pre-owned vehicle with great maintenance records from the previous owners who were older folks. When I test drove it, I did not notice anything and thought it drove perfectly.
Now, I still love the car and don't think there are any serious issues and maybe I am just paranoid but I'll tell you what I've noticed.
1. First of all, I back into my driveway all the time and when I start the car and put it in drive, once I start driving for about 2 seconds I hear a quick metal clank/click type sound. I'm wondering what that could be.
2. I have read online that the transmission issues with this car were solved in the 2007-2008 models and I hope that is true. Maybe it is just that I am not used to the way Acura's (Tl's more specifically) shift gears. I previously shared my mom's 2016 Volkswagen Jetta and that obviously shifts much different than a performance car like this. I notice that I can feel the gears shifting - now is that normal...or should I not be feeling anything? I read online that these cars don't shift smoothly so I just hope I won't be having any transmission problems with this first car that I absolutely love.
Please let me know what you think.

Forget to mention the whining noise I hear when accelerating. I only hear when I'm going about 10-15km per hour and then it stops after I have accelerated. The dealership said it was a normal noise but just making sure.
1. could be motor mounts, replace them.
2. do pressure switch and trans fluid replacement
https://acurazine.com/forums/third-g...2008-a-840630/ should help with gears
3. regarding: whining, might be alternator or Power Steering pump related. Record the sound on youtube and paste it here so we can diagnose further.
