2006 TL transmission is done

As the title states, my transmission is done.
I'm working on finding a parts car.
I've located a drivetrain from an 09 TL

Just wondering if it would work?
I'm not sure if the axles, engine mounts, shift linkage cables, harness plugs, ecu would work together?

Any insite from anyone who has attempted this would be greatly appreciated.

First of all....please forgive me for spelling INSIGHT wrong!!!!! Mother of pearl I was tired at the time I wrote that.

Marc, I have never heard of this swap. I just did a search on it. Threads I found were putting it in a frst gen TL.
But I'd imagine it to be even easier to put it into the same gen only Acura.

I'll look into that for sure. May be easier to find an Accord transmission than a TL.
What is the benefit of that tranny over the stock TL?

You'll need an 2004-2006 transmission as the 2007+ models use different electronics and it won't work. You can use the Accord V6 trans which is cheaper! It only requires you move your range switch from the old trans over to the new one. Probably your best bet since accord v6 trans are easier to find than the TL's.

Yeah - the 06/07 accord v6 will work in your 3rd gen TL. For roughly $1000 or less plus the install, you wold be back in business.

So just to source any transmission that would work...what year TL transmission would work in my 06?
I've got 04-06 Accord works with minor tweaking.
But what about TL
04-08 all work...?

Sorry guys I'm new to the V6 Honda game.

Take a look in the 2G section for the threads regarding the AV6 swap in. I think the best bet is to source the 06/07 trans from the V6 accord (non hybrid). I'm not 100% positive but I don't think an 07/08 TL trans will work in your 06. And the TL trans from 04-06 were still not that reliable. Take a look on car-part.com for used accord 06/07 v6 trans.

Ok. Again thank you guys for your help on this.
All 3.0 v6 accord 5spd autos have the manual shift option I guess?
