2006 acura tl oil pump leak

I have a 06 tl with 315km. In June of 2018 it had a leak i ended up taking it to the mechanic to realize the oil pump was leaking. He ended up changing the timing belt and resealing the oil pump. Now its Sept 2018 i went for an oil change and he told me thats it still leaking and he cleaned it up and if it leaks again bring it back. 2 days later i figured its still leaking took it back and he told me there is nothing he could do the best way now is to either put a new oil pump or swap the engine. He then told me its not worth it at and just drive the car until i can and get rid of it. What do you guys think i should do at this point? I really don't want to throw more money at this car i have spend so much already and it just keeps eating my money so help me out guys thanks.

the oil pump assembly will need to be reseal properly as the seals and Honda bond themselves barely leak but it 98% of time it leak from a bolt locate lower left of the TB roller. This job should be free as your mechanic reseal the oil pump but failed.

I feel that you shouldn't be paying a dime for this job anymore IF the oil pump still leaking so either he can reseal your oil pump or issue reimbursement on the labor if he choose not to reseal the oil pump "Nothing he can do" is UNACCEPTABLE.

A new oil pump is only needed if it actually fails, which is very rare. A re seal is just as it sounds, re sealing a leak. Mechanic messed up somewhere

This was done on a MDX but it's the same for all J series engine. I will be tackling the same thing next year once I go past 300k miles on my Accord V6.
