2005 Tl Transmission
2005 Tl Transmission
I just purchased an 05 Tl Auto with 47k on it and am going to do the 3x3 trans flush- Since joining AZ I have been extra careful to look for any trans issues. I did notice today there was a very slight fluctuation while driving up a long progressing hill- but did not notice it any other time. I am going to change the 3rd and 4th solenoid as PM. My question is- I have the opportunity to buy a warranty for the next 3/36 that will cover all repairs for about 1650.00- IF my torque converter or tranny does go- will it save me money to have it? Any help would be appreciated.

If you do the switches and type F fluid, the chances of the trans failing are slim to none. If it were me, I would not spend 1,650 on the warranty but I never pay for warranties so I'm a little biased. If it gives you peace of mind and helps you sleep at night, it might be worth it.
