2005 TL Fishtail in snow?!
2005 TL Fishtail in snow?!
Hello all!
I live in Michigan & we have pretty bad winters & this year, my 4Runner sadly broke down due to a rusted frame so I was left with no other choice then take my TL out. I don’t like driving the TL in the snow! But I have too.
So what I am curious about is, when I drive in snow or on a wet roads, I do not get any control. It feels like my rear end is fishtailing.
I just put new tires on, I got an alignment & it still seems to do it.
Any suggestions or solutions will help!!!

Lowering the car changes the geometry and how the car reacts. If toe is out or the rear springs are not holding up properly it'll cause the rear suspension on one side or both sides to compress too much. It's all tied with the rear sway bar so it will make the other side of the car unstable also causing that fishtail feel. Also how's your camber? Camber + snow don't really help either if the toe is good.
